Mazda is discontinuing the beloved CX-9 crossover, but they are elevating their SUV game with the 2026 CX-90 three-row SUV, which promises a higher level of luxury. The CX-90 has been introduced with a new turbocharged 3.3-liter inline-six engine, offering either 280 or 340 horsepower, and even a plug-in-hybrid option. Mazda’s commitment to a more upscale experience is evident, with the top-tier versions of this eight-seater three-row SUV boasting more luxury features than their current SUV lineup. The design is attractive, and the CX-90’s interior design takes inspiration from the smaller CX-50 and MX-30 SUVs. Additionally, the new platform underpinning the CX-90 is expected to give rise to a two-row SUV called the CX-70, which should become available shortly after the CX-90.
